Free Community Shred Day in Vegas

ONE NEVADA CREDIT UNION TO HOST COMMUNITY SHRED EVENT TO BENEFIT MAKE-A-WISH® SOUTHERN NEVADA

One Nevada Credit Union will be hosting a free shred event at its Green Valley location on Friday April 27th from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at 1090 W Sunset Rd, Ste B in Henderson, located on the North East corner of Sun shopping Center.

Assured Document Destruction will be on-site to safely and properly dispose of personal documents including recyclable paper products, magazine, envelopes and newspapers. Up to three boxes filled with acceptable recyclable items are being collected per car. Electronics, ink cartridges and cardboard will not be accepted.

The shred event is free to the community, and monetary donations are being collected during the event for Southern Nevada's Make-A-Wish®. Tens of thousands of volunteers, donors and supporters advance the Make-A- Wish® Southern Nevada vision to grant the wish of every child diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition. In the United States and its territories, on average, a wish is granted every 34 minutes. We believe a wish experience can be a game-changer. This one belief guides us and inspires us to grant wishes that change the lives of the kids we serve.

"We are looking forward to giving our members and the community the opportunity to dispose of confidential documents for free, while protecting them from the possibility of identify theft," said Liz Lowder, One Nevada Credit Union District Manager. "We are always pleased to partner with a local nonprofit charitable organization and encourage our community to donate as a way of giving back for the free shred services."
