ONE NEVADA CREDIT UNION TO HOST COMMUNITY SHRED EVENT TO BENEFIT SPCA OF NORTHERN NEVADA
One Nevada Credit Union will host a free shred event at its Damonte Ranch location on Friday, May 4th from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at 57 Damonte Ranch Parkway in Reno, located in the Walmart shopping center.
American Document Destruction will be on-site to safely and properly dispose of personal documents, including recyclable paper products, magazines, envelopes and newspapers. Each vehicle may bring up to three boxes filled with acceptable recyclable items. Electronics, ink cartridges and cardboard will not be accepted.
The shred event is free to the community, yet monetary donations are welcomed in support of the SPCA of Northern Nevada. The SPCA, founded in 1998, is Reno's original no-kill animal shelter. Their primary mission is to end euthanasia as a means of pet overpopulation control in Northern Nevada. SPCA's adoption center philosophy is that once an animal is accepted at the shelter, he or she is cared for until a new forever, loving home is found.
"We're looking forward to giving our members and the community the opportunity to dispose of confidential documents safely for free, while protecting them from the possibility of identity theft," said Wanida Black, One Nevada Credit Union District Manager. "We're always pleased to partner with a local nonprofit charitable organization and encourage our community to donate as a way of giving back for the free shred services."
