Free Community Shred Day in Las Vegas

One Nevada Credit Union will be hosting a free shred event at our Sunrise branch. The community-wide event will be on Friday, October 19 from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. located at 1292 S. Nellis Blvd.

Assured Document Destruction will be on-site to safely and properly dispose of personal documents including recyclable paper products, magazines, envelopes and newspapers. Electronics, ink cartridges and cardboard will not be accepted.

Members and nonmembers of the credit union are encouraged to bring up to three boxes or bags of personal documents.

The shred event is free, but One Nevada is partnering with NSPCA (Nevada Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) to collect donations. This wonderful nonprofit organization operates a no-kill animal sanctuary and promotes humane education, makes referrals for lower-cost spay-neuter and vaccination services and challenges people to be the best possible guardians for the companion animals in their care.

"We are looking forward to giving our members and the community the opportunity to dispose of confidential documents for free, while protecting them from the possibility of identify theft," said Susan Ghee, One Nevada Credit Union Branch Manager. "We are always pleased to partner with a local nonprofit charitable organization and encourage our community to donate as a way of giving back for the free shred services."
