Protect Your Identity at Our Free Reno Shred Day Event

By: / 19 May 2025

Shred your documents—and your worries—at our community event!

We're making it easier than ever to protect your personal information. Join One Nevada Credit Union for a FREE Community Shred Day on Friday, May 30, from 10 AM to 2 PM at our Lemmon Valley Branch:

📍 200 Vista Knoll Parkway, Reno, NV 89506

Identity theft is unfortunately all too common in Nevada, but one of the simplest ways to stay safe is to securely dispose of old paperwork. That's where we come in! Our friends at American Document Destruction will be on-site with their professional shredding truck to help you clear out your clutter the safe way.

Bring up to three boxes of acceptable paper items per car. Please note: electronics, ink cartridges, batteries, and cardboard will not be accepted.

What Should You Shred?

If it has personal or financial information, don't toss it—shred it!
Here are just a few examples:

  • Bank statements & ATM receipts
  • Expired ID cards
  • Anything with your Social Security number
  • Credit info & pre-approved credit offers
  • Investment account documents
  • Old pay stubs
  • Voided checks
  • Plane tickets

Quick tip: If you wouldn't want it in the wrong hands, it's better off shredded!

Give Back While You Shred

This event is completely free and open to the public, but if you'd like to pay it forward, we're accepting cash donations for the SPCA of Northern Nevada. They'll be on-site with an info booth to share more about their amazing work rescuing local animals in need.

Come out for some secure shredding, peace of mind, and community connection—we'd love to see you there!
