Clear the Clutter and Support Local Pets: Reno Shred Day is October 2

By: / 16 Sep 2025

It's time to tidy up those old files and give back to a great cause at the same time. One Nevada Credit Union is hosting our Fall Shred Day in Reno on Thursday, October 2, 2025.

This free community event is the perfect opportunity to securely dispose of unwanted documents while helping animals in need through our partnership with the SPCA of Northern Nevada.

Why Participate in Shred Day?

We all have stacks of paper—outdated bills, tax records, or personal documents—that we no longer need. Simply tossing them in the trash puts your sensitive information at risk of identity theft. Shredding is the safest way to protect your privacy.

At the same time, Shred Day gives us the chance to come together as a community and support an organization that works tirelessly to provide shelter, care, and loving homes for local pets.

Tips for a Smooth Shred Day

  • Gather outdated personal and financial documents you no longer need.
  • Remove binders, large clips, and other non-paper items.
  • Arrive during event hours, and our team will help you with the shredding process.
