Despite the rainy weather, our Reno Shred Day at the Plumb Lane Branch was a big success thanks to our members, neighbors, and community partners who showed up to support local pets in need!
What is Shred Day?
One Nevada's Shred Day events give the community a free, secure, and environmentally friendly way to dispose of old, sensitive documents. It's an easy way to prevent identity theft while protecting the environment, and it's also a chance for us to give back. Each event benefits a local nonprofit through monetary donations and much-needed supplies.
Supporting SPCA of Northern Nevada
This spring, we partnered with the SPCA of Northern Nevada to support their mission of saving and improving the lives of homeless pets.
- Together, we raised $1,603 in donations.
- With One Nevada's matching and rounding, we turned that into a $3,300 donation!
- We also collected a sprinter van full of pet food and supplies to help keep tails wagging.
A Team Effort
A big thank you to our members who gave generously, and to the incredible SPCA volunteers who worked tirelessly in the rain.

The next Reno Shred Day is scheduled for May 2026. Bring your old documents, protect your identity, and help us make an even bigger impact for our local nonprofit partners.
Together, we're making Nevada stronger, one Shred Day at a time.
