One Nevada Credit will be hosting a free shred event at its newest branch on North Decatur. The community-wide event will be on Friday, October 20 from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. located at 6241 N. Decatur Blvd., across from WinCo, Target and Hobby Lobby.
Assured Document Destruction will be on-site to safely and properly dispose of personal documents including recyclable paper products, magazines, envelopes, and newspapers. Electronics, ink cartridges and cardboard will not be accepted.
The shred event is free, but One Nevada has partnered with Connor and Millie's Dog Rescue to collect monetary donations for the rescue dogs in need of care. To learn more about this wonderful nonprofit organization, visit ConnorandMilliesdogrescue.
Members and nonmembers of the credit union are encouraged to bring up to three boxes or bags of personal documents.
"We are looking forward to giving our members and the community the opportunity to dispose of confidential documents for free, while protecting them from the possibility of identify theft," said Mary Bishop, One Nevada Credit Union Branch Manager. "We are always pleased to partner with a local nonprofit charitable organization and encourage our community to donate as a way of giving back for the free shred services."
