One Nevada Credit Union to Host Free, Community Shred Day to Benefit Local Nonprofit
One Nevada Credit will be hosting a free shred event at its newest branch on North Decatur. The community-wide event will be held during the grand opening week celebration on Friday April 21st, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. located at 6241 N. Decatur Blvd. Across from WinCo, Target and Hobby Lobby.
Assured Document Destruction will be on-site to safely and properly dispose of personal documents including recyclable paper products, magazine, envelopes and newspapers. Electronics, ink cartridges and cardboard will not be accepted.
The shred event is free, but donations are welcome. One Nevada has partnered with Help of Southern Nevada to collect donations for Shannon West Homeless Youth Center. Items of need include personal care and feminine hygiene products, school supplies, clothing and food. You can find their full Wish List under the Services tab at www.helpsonv.org.
Members and nonmembers of the credit union are encouraged to bring up to three boxes or bags of personal documents.
"We are looking forward to giving our members and the community the opportunity to dispose of confidential documents for free, while protecting them from the possibility of identify theft," said Mary Bishop, One Nevada Credit Union Branch Manager. "We are always pleased to partner with a local nonprofit charitable organization and encourage our community to donate as a way of giving back for the free shred services."
